Had a pretty good weekend here in Columbus. We actually didn’t get any rain, and the temperature was in the high 70’s, which is pretty much unusual for Ohio this time of the year. So, figuring this wouldn’t last, I finally got out the ol’ Bokor, and went for my first ride of the season.
I haven’t gone riding since last October, so I figured I go for an easy ride on the Upper Olentangy Bike Trail. Boy, for only riding for about 15 miles, I can’t believe how tired I was last night. Must be even more out-of-shape than I thought! Hopefully, the weather will hold for a while, and give me a chance to go out some more later this week. Here’s a couple of pictures of the skatepark at the end of the trail in Worthington. I might need to break out the old skateboard, and try out the park some morning (while all the skate-rats are in school).
This weekend, I also started scraping the paint off the garage. Geez, I forgot how crappy a job that is. I’m guessing it’s going to take a couple of weeks to finish that (depending if we get much rain during that time). I’ll have to throw up some before and after photos, to show the progress, in the hope that it will motivate me to finish it quickly. Then all I’ll need to do is repaint it, and that should be the only major project I need to do this summer.

Looks like you have a fine skate punk park.
Been riding a bit in EDH when I was home — thinking I need a new ride though . . . That Specialized Enduro looks pretty sweet. First up though, I badly need some low profile tires to replace the Velociraptors I am riding. Those knobbies don’t cut it well on the hard pack in Sacto.
